This well-known classic stage show is set in New York at the end of the roaring 1920’s, when gangster warfare is afoot in town. Dandy Dan’s hoodlums are terrorising the city with their new weapon the ‘Splurge gun’. Rival gangster boss, Fat Sam, owner of the Grand Slam Speakeasy brings in Bugsy Malone (a smooth-talking city slicker) to help him acquire his own ‘Splurge guns’, however Bugsy is more interested in sweet-talking would-be singer Blousey Brown, than help Fat Sam defeat his rival. Things do not run smoothly for Fat Sam…In fact, they get very, VERY messy!!
With classic tunes, such as Fat Sam’s Grand Slam, My Name is Tallulah and You Give a Little Love, plus plenty of jazz hands and a lot of ‘splurge’, Bugsy Malone is a real family favourite for all ages.
